Who We Are
Federation of Community Strength (FCS) is one of Non Governmental Organization (NGO) working in Galle District of Sri Lanka. FCS formed as out come of UN Habitat- IFAD Project implemented in Galle District collaborates with Galle district Secretariat. Members of the FCS are Community Base Organizations (CBO) in Galle District. Presently FCS has provided its memberships to 55 CBOo in Galle District. Most of them are Tsunami affected CBOo which are registered under relevant DS offices and local authorities. Approximately 3500 individual memberships are provided to the members of member communities. Most of our member societies are very poor and vulnerable. FCS has been assisting them to develop infrastructures and the Livelihoods in their villages. As well as FCS is developing capacities and strengthening member CBOo. FCS is still grooving up with some assistance and we are doing microfinance in each community. FCS is assisting to community by guiding on marketing and creating market links for rural, domestic productions in each community.

To reduce poverty through developing livelihood by facilitating sustainable finance system in their villages and assisting technical and management capacity building of the entrepreneurs and beneficiaries.
